This card was from the March "Guy Cards" camp. We had the best time making this set of cards - stampers are definitely the best company ever!
Did ya notice those spiffy BIG brads?! Love 'em!
Stamp Set - Totally Tool
Technique - DTP (Direct to Paper). To make the faux wood background, rub ink pads directly onto the cardstock. I started with more mustard CS, added the same color ink, then added really rust, and topped it all off with chocolate chip. Just rub the ink pad in the direction of the wood and have a great time - it's different each time, and way fun!!!
*** NOTE *** Always add ink from lightest to darkest. That keeps your pads cleaner and makes more depth in the picture.
I colored the hammer with blender pens and stampin' pastels .... and added a touch of gray underneath for a little shadow. The more I experiment with coloring, the more I like it!
